Productivity
Sustainably increasing agricultural productivity and farmer incomes.
ICCSAT
For a sustainable future, we bring climate-friendly agricultural technologies together with the world.
Who We Are
The International Center for Climate-Smart Agriculture Technologies Studies Association is an international platform that develops innovative solutions to reduce the negative impacts of climate change on agricultural production. We aim to spread innovative technologies and policies that make agricultural production systems sustainable in the global fight against climate change.
More about usClimate-smart agriculture (CSA) pursues three goals at once.
Sustainably increasing agricultural productivity and farmer incomes.
Strengthening farming systems against drought, floods and other climate shocks.
Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing soil carbon sequestration.
To be a center that shapes world agriculture through international cooperation, enabling climate-adaptive, technology-driven and sustainable farming practices to spread globally.
To carry out cooperation, training, project and advisory activities at national and international level for the development, research, application and dissemination of climate-smart agriculture technologies, contributing to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
Our Focus
More productive, using fewer resources, more sustainable.
Protecting tomorrow's agriculture with today's solutions.
Adding value to agriculture through science and innovative solutions.
Building a strong farming ecosystem by sharing knowledge and experience.
Creating global impact through projects that cross borders.
A more resilient, more productive and more sustainable world through climate-smart agriculture technologies.
Together, it's possible…
Focus Areas
We work across eight core areas, from research and policy advocacy to technology transfer and fund management.
Scientific research on the impacts of climate change on agriculture.
Farmer training, seminars, certificate programmes and e-learning.
Contributing to national and international climate–agriculture policy.
Testing R&D results on demo farms and bringing them to the field.
Setting up and reporting on climate-smart agriculture prototypes in the field.
Participatory monitoring, evaluation and impact measurement.
Multi-stakeholder partnerships with government, academia, civil society and business.
Project proposals for EU, UN and climate finance sources.
Technology in Agriculture
By bringing remote sensing, precision agriculture, smart irrigation and digital monitoring to the field, we help producers grow more with fewer resources.
